Hi, Alfonso from Barcelona speaking. Probably though some of you know me better as fonsoul. First of all is a big pleasure having the chance of playing my records at the great Dance with The Devil. Many thanks you guys! Then let me introduce myself. I was born in the 60s, started collecting in the 70s (Beatles and 60s bands), deeping in the 80s (interested as well back then on many weird styles, irish folk, german progressive etc.) was playing on indy bands in the 90s, and started collecting afroamerican music on original 7” format and shortly after djing in the early 00s. Got in touch with the mods and the soulies in my area first and from the whole country later, so ended up punting and later playing in almost all the Spanish clubs, rallies and weekenders. Finally in the present decade I’ve started being called to play my records abroad, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Greece…and Italy. Have played quite a few times in Italy, Bologna, Torino, Bari, Taranto, Latina…this will be 4th time in Rome. Last time though was four years ago so very happy to be back! I like many different styles (50&60s r&b, 60s soul, boogaloo, early funk, mod jazz, ska etc.) so you can expect eclectic/open minded sets always with the focus on the dancefloor. Bring your dancing shoes and see you there! Christopher Stukenbrock serves the widest variety of soulful fifties & sixties Rhythm n´ Soul Sounds throughout Germany. From the rarest of the rare to the just plain good, he never fails to heat up the floor and get the crowd jump for joy. Being on the desks for over two decades, he Dj´s at various Mod-Rallys, Northern Soul Allniter, Popcorn Nights and events like The Pow Wow club!!! He was also responsible for the GET ON DOWN Soulallniter series in the Ruhrgebiet Area.

Il 2018 e' stato realmente una bomba e per cominciare questo nuovo anno non potevamo essere da meno! Live sul palco del nostro bunker dell'amore preferito avremo i Muriki, 5 ragazzi che trasudano afrofunk da ogni poro dei loro strumenti! Ospiti con noi dietro la console due mostri di djs provenienti da due luoghi della terra molto distanti tra loro ma con una passione per la musica comune, passione che li ha condotti a Roma da noi per la prima volta in assoluto! Quindi, siamo felicissimi di presentarvi dal Belgio mr Diggin Dave Daem e dagli USA mr Frank Raines!

E' con grandissimo piacere che vi presentiamo la prossima band che avremo l'onore di ospitare sabato 12th Gennaio live sul palco del Trenta Formiche a Roma per la prima data di questo 2019 del Dance with the devil! Ecco a voi il suono afrofunk dei Muriki!!
Il progetto Muriki prende il via all’inizio del 2018 quando un gruppo di cinque musicisti si riunisce in sala prove decisi a confrontarsi su un'idea comune: il “groove“. Il sound è acerbo ma il feeling prende corpo... Ad animare questi incontri ci sono Attilio Errico Agnello al sax tenore, Pietro Sinatra alla batteria, Paolo Manziotti al basso, Francesco Fioravanti alle chitarre e Raffaele Maroscia alle percussioni. Il repertorio pesca tra i classici delle produzioni afrofunk o più correttamente afrobeat Il sound in sala viene costruito rielaborando il repertorio creativamente come nelle jam session tipiche della blackmusic.L’intesa tra i musicisti cresce e si consolida sfociando nella prima produzione originale del gruppo “Mari ca ‘ndì mmassuna “, un brano strumentale che custodisce una breve lirica scritta nel dialetto di Brindisi (città natale di Attilio) che canta della necessità e delle speranze che muovono i popoli migranti... È da qui che parte il progetto "Muriki", nome preso dagli acrobati primati della foresta atlantica che hanno nella loro natura l'uguaglianza. Ciò si rispecchia nella volontà di coniugare ritmi e suoni Black di vocazione africana con parole di consapevolezza.

Record head from Detroit, Michigan. I operate the independent record label Funk Night Records and the monthly Motor City Funk Night party. I’ve been DJing heavy funk and soul 45s for over 15 years. I love playing raw funk with big drums and deep ballads. Looking forward to returning to Italy!

I revolve around records, and records revolve around me. I reside in Ghent, Belgium but I travel the world all the time looking for the rarest, and more importantly, best music ever pressed on wax. Musically I've always been drawn to anything that strikes a certain inner chord, which causes me to always gravitate towards those dusty old soulful 45s. As a DJ I try to blend the all-time greats with those that immediately faded in obscurity, whatever hits the spot. I’ve played regular gigs around Europe but this will be my first international one after my not-so-sabbatical so looking forward!!!!
