Here a little introduction from Neale Dewey, our very special guest for next Dance with the Devil at Trenta Formiche on Saturday 18th January in Rome! 

Really looking forward to playing at Dance With The Devil, this club has got a fantastic reputation.

I come from Stoke-on-Trent that is well known for its Northern Soul scene. Over the years I've been lucky enough to have been exposed to some fantastic clubs & Dj's.  So I draw my records from a diverse spectrum and will be playing a heady mix of Jamaican, R&B and Blues.

Recently played in Bruges, Brighton, Limerick and Galway as well as other great UK clubs. And there's my involvement in the Federal Weekenders and the Pow Wow do's at The Lymedale.

Sabato 18 Gennaio, live sul palco del nostro bunker dell'amore preferito, direttamente da San Francisco, avremo il piacere di ospitare degli alfieri del suono garage psych che vanno sotto il nome di The Spyrals!
A seguire, ospite con noi alla console, Neale Dewey, una vera e propria macchina da guerra del sound RnB Rocksteady e Ska!

The Funkool Orchestra - Live on stage on Saturday 7th December at Trenta Formiche - Roma

E' con grandissimo piacere che vi presentiamo la prossima band che avremo l'onore di ospitare sabato 7th Dicembre live sul palco del Trenta Formiche a Roma per il Dance with the devil!
Ecco a voi il suono midiciale della Funkool Orchestra!

La Funkool Orchestra nasce nel 2019 come un’estensione dello spettacolo vinilico Funkool, con l’obiettivo di far rivivere le coinvolgenti atmosfere live dei discoclubs in cui formazioni    di moltissimi elementi,    trascinate da fiati, cori e percussioni valicavano i generi  musicali facendo tanta improvvisazione, senza usare    campioni di    nessun tipo e registrando quasi  sempre in presa    diretta.
La  performance live della Funkool Orchestra è un viaggio tra sonorità funk e  disco costruito come un omaggio  ai nostri dj, selecter e diggers preferiti che continuano oggi a farci scoprire nuova musica scovata nell’immensa miniera delle produzioni degli anni '70 e '80.
Funkool ha anche ideato e co-prodotto con il Teatro Nostos di Aversa lo spettacolo SoulShine, un percorso nella storia della musica black e soul in cui il teatro si trasforma in un dancefloor: un reading  “orchestrato”,  un concerto  raccontato. Accompagnati dalle sonorizzazioni live della Funkool Orchestra, le parole di James Brown e Aretha Franklin, di Muhammad Ali, Angela Davis e dei Black  Panther riecheggiano sul palco in forma di monologhi e dialoghi,  ricordandoci quanto le loro storie e i loro messaggi siano oggi attuali.

Malayka Erpen for Dance with the Devil - Sabato 07 Dicembre @ Trenta Formiche Roma

Here a little introduction from Malayka Erpen, our very special guest for next Dance with the Devil at Trenta Formiche on Saturday 07th December in Rome! 

Hailing from Switzerland but calling Germany, the UK, or wherever her record box is home, Malayka started as a promoter and DJ in the nineties in Bamberg ("Sweetest Songs In Town" and "Sunday Soul").
Some years later she founded with Martin Walgenbach the legendary SoulShakers club, which further spawned the monumental SoulShakers Bamberg Weekender, one of the best soul weekend in Europe!
With a penchant for digging the sounds of the 70s, 80s, Gospel, Soul, Funk & Boogie, Malayka has played her records at fine soul events everywhere from the US to Japan, and we’re excited to have her here in rome for the first time!

Tornano i live, e tornano con il botto!!
Questa volta, per la prima volta la Roma, avremo il piacere e l'onore di ospitare live sul palco del nostro bunker dell'amore preferito la micidiale  Funkool Orchestra al gran completo! Fiato alle trombe!!!

Lachmi Denfer for Dance with the Devil - Sabato 16 Novembre @ Trenta Formiche Roma

Here a little introduction from mr Lachmi Denfer,  our guest for next Dance with the Devil at Trenta Formiche on Saturday 16th November in Rome!

I'm Lachmi, i collect popcorn oldies ( r&b, soul, jazz, latin, ska...) for over 35 years.
I like this style of music that i discovered in belgium clubs like the popcorn, the champoo, the versailles..., during early 80's.
I usually organised and played popcorn music in north france and belgium.
Right now i'm playng popcorn music with my friend and collector Boualem every month at the babylone cabaret at mouscron in belgium.
Every monthly "popcorn venue" is a great succes.
This kind of music is still very popular in belgium and north of france.
