Hailing from Switzerland but calling Germany, the UK, or wherever her record box is home, Malayka started as a promoter and DJ in the nineties in Bamberg ("Sweetest Songs In Town" and "Sunday Soul").
Some years later she founded with Martin Walgenbach the legendary SoulShakers club, which further spawned the monumental SoulShakers Bamberg Weekender, one of the best soul weekend in Europe!
With a penchant for digging the sounds of the 70s, 80s, Gospel, Soul, Funk & Boogie, Malayka has played her records at fine soul events everywhere from the US to Japan, and we’re excited to have her here in rome for the first time!
